Bf 109 Italy

ME-109 Unit JG27 from 1943 shot down over Foggia #2 airfield In Italy Werk number 7780

I received a request from a lady in Canada for information regarding this aircraft, for a gentleman she knows.

109's are not my area, so any information I'm sure will be greatly appreciated. Dan

Seems that nothing happened for this 7780 Above Foggia , 7780 got some problems in 1942 b. überführung, if the plane survive it would be used by some training unit in 1943, but with the Luftwaffe ...

Dan: Are you sure about the WNr? I have 7780 as a T, part of the T series of WNrs. It would seem unlikely that one of these would be in Italy.
