Dresden 13./14. February 1945
 

Hello,

during second Raid against Dresden carried by RAF on 13./14th February 1945 between 1.22 and 1.54 o´clock only 4 of total 551 bombers claimed that they bombed an alternative target. Does somebody know to which Squadrons these four Lancasters belonged and which targets they supposed to attack?

Hi Michal,

I know that one a/c from No. 3 Group attacked last resort Chemnitz. But not from which Squadron. It would be very interesting for my researches from which Squadron came this a/c.

Hello Rene,

yes, once again our interests are closer :) Most probably one of these four Lancasters bombed one city in Bohemia. There is a local Police Report which says that it could be one of bombers from second wave (dropped incendiaries (Stabbrandbomben) 1.45 o´clock morning).
