Which plane crashed to Zirc monastery on 23.12.1944?

Few days ago I had the pleasure to visit small Hungarian town called Zirc north of Balaton. Town is famous especially about its Cistercian monastery and monastery's library which contains 65 000 volumes.

While there I was told that during the Second World War library suffered damages in an event that happened just before Christmas on 23.12.1944. On that day a damaged German plane crashed to monastery church towers and the ensuing fire unfortunately destroyed some of the invaluable books.

My hosts did not have any specific details of the plane or its crew and I promised to try to find the information for them. Even the type of plane was uncertain. Some said Focke Wulf 190 some Junkers Ju 87.

Now I am turning to you to ask your kind assistant in the matter so that the monastery can have this part of they history records straight. Which plan and from which unit crashed to the monastery? What was the faith of the pilot/pilots?

It was Uffz. Anton Overmayer from 6./SG 2 with an Fw 190 F-8 (WNr. 933317) Cause of the crash was pilot error. Overmayer incinerated with the plane.
