What kind of Japanees aircrafts were shot down by Myron M. Truax on 4th May 1945?

Re: Myron M. Truax

Don't see his name in any Army Airforce claims list I have.
If he was from the US he might be Navy?
Sorry not much help.

Re: Myron M. Truax

His six claims for the day at the radar picket station were:

1 Val
1 Oscar or Zeke
4 "Type 93"

The latter were described as twin float seaplanes and were probably Type 94 Alfs (E7K).

Re: Myron M. Truax

Correction to my last:

The "Type 93" was in fact the float version of the Willow (K5Y) trainer.
