GCI/4 losses on 11.05.40
 
Hi everyone,


on 11.05.40 JG26 fought twice with Curtiss from GCI/4. The German claimed alltogether 7 (5+2) Curtiss shot down. Anyone could tell me how many French planes were lost in reality?

It seems there were 4 Curtiss lost during the dogfight. One more lost when bellylanding but on Mardyck A/F.

first fight

H-75A-2 n° 172 shot down near Zoersel, commandant Heurtaut killed
H-75A-1 n° 77 damaged, sergent Debéthune wounded, belly landed on return

second fight

H-75A-2 n° 166 shot down, sergent Lacroix killed
H-75A shot down, sous-lieutenant Verry wounded, baled out
H-75A shot down force landed, sous-lieutenant Naudin wounded

Fight when Cdt hertaux, S/Lt Verry ... were shooted down was around 17 H 00
