Karl-Fritz Schlosstein - DKiG

Hi all.

I am looking for info and PHOTO of

Karl-Fritz Schlosstein who received KRIEGSORDEN DES DEUTSCHEN KREUZES IN GOLD in rank Oberleutnant Awarded on March 31st, 1943as a member of 13.(ZS)/Jagdgeschwader 5.
Can anyone help with info on his person?

Peter,

If you can get your hands on a copy of Eric Mombeeks, "Zur Geschichte des Jagdgeschwaders 5, Band 1" there are a number of photos of Schlosstein and various information on him including his victories.

In addition Schlosstein is to the best of my knowledge still around and does respond to correspondence.

Regards

Jeremy

Gentlemen,

Thanks
Problem is that I have Schlossteins postal address but he did not respond to my polite and explanatory letters :( Do someone have contact with him that can be of help to ask some specific questions for me? NO long time bothering, I promise.

And Dough, what I want to ask him and what you miss, is he was GK of II. ZG 76, and later on also had leading function at JG 54 as far as I know from one of his Pilots:)

THANKS

Peter,

Karl-Fritz, who prefers his family name to be written Schlossstein, is on a trip to Hongkong. After that he is in Berlin and back home on the 8th of September. I am sure he will answer all your questions after his return.

You can also meet him personally on 17/18. October in Speyer during the next Flugzeugteilebörse, an aircraft parts, veterans show in the exhibition hall nearby the Technik Museum Speyer.

All the best, Horst
