26 May 1940 Bf109s engaged a Swordfish

Hi guys

On 26 May 1940, A Swordfish was attacked by two Bf109s over the Channel. Any idea as to who the Messerschmitt pilots were? Did they make a claim?

Brian,

Incident is described in Peter Cornwell's book (don't have it with me now).
Swordfish could make it home, but one occupant thrown overboard when airplane made evasive actions.
Lt Geoffrey N. Beaumont commemorated on Lee-on-Solent Memorial.

No details about Bf109 unit.

No claim on Tony Wood's website.
