Recently I came across a Ju 87 D flown by olt Gunther Schmid late in 1942.Can you tell me anything regarding this pilot, eventually his fate later in the war?

c.06.41 assigned to St.G. 2 on completion of training.
02.12.41 awarded DKG, 7./St.G. 2.
11.42 Oblt., appt Staka 5./St.G. 2 (to 14.07.43).
23.12.42 Lt., awarded Ritterkreuz on reaching his 500th combat mission, Staffelführer 5./St.G. 2.
c.07.43 reached his 700th combat mission.
14.07.43 KIA.
