You have written 1943, so I am answering so late. I thought you mean 1943 and not 1945 and firstly didn´t read this thread.

I came across KTB III./KG 53 from this period. Lt. Hans Müller-Dieckert was Staffel Offizier of 9./KG 53 until January 6 1945. Then he became Adjutant of III./KG 53. On April 9 1945, after disbanding of III./KG 53, he was transferred to KG 4. There is full list of members of all Staffels of III./KG 53, but I don´t have copy. Have copies of War Diary January - April 1945 but there is not any other mention of Müller-Dieckert or others. Full names of members of III./KG 53 are in document from April 9 1945 where is transfer of all of them to other units: mostly KG 4 and ErgJG 2, some technicians and airmen to Luftwaffen-feld- division.

A search of our files yields the following:

VOLXEM, Karl-Anton van. 01.05.38 promo to Hptm. Not a Lt. but a Hptm. in 1938! But there can’t be two people with this same name!

We have nothing on the non-officers.

We hope this helps.

Ernst Ebeling was Staka 7./KG 53 from July 1 1942 until Januar 1944. From that time he became Ia by Stab/KG 53. According to KTB III./KG 53 he was awarded as Ritterkreuzträger on March 28 1945,

Re: 7/KG 53 March 1943

Thanks gentlemen. I already have the Ebeling information. As to Jessen, he joined 7/KG 53 1 Feb 43, then became Gr Adj Sep 43, St Fhr 7/KG 53 14 Jan 44, St Kap 7/KG 53 25 May 44 and then St Kap 9/KG 53 in Aug 44. I have a Lt Von Volxem missing (POW?) 27 May 43 and then there was a Hptm Karl-Anton Von Volxem still a Hptm 1 Jan 45. Possibly a father as to be promoted to Hptm in 1938 and still a Hptm in 1945 must mean something??
