Russian Curtiss P-40 Jarfjord 17.06-44

Any Russian experts out there?
Searching for serial no and unit of Ivan Giorgievich Logutov's P-40, which crashed in Jarfjord, Finnmark on 17.June 1944.

The pilot became POW and survived the war ...but probably not the Gulag.

According this diver article the P-40 belonged to the 1st Squadron of the 78th Fighter Regiment: http://www.divernet.com/cgi-bin/arti...cold+in+Norway...

It has some details of the raid in June 1944 as well.
