French trainer

Hi,

Photo found on ebay: seems to of a very uncommon type...
Caudron? Morane?

Re: French trainer

Hi
The angle of the a/c makes it difficult to be sure if there was a fixed undercarriage but the a/c shows a strong resemblance to the Caudron Simoun as illustrated in a 3 view silhouette in a very old book I have published in 1942 to encourage civilians to recognise WW2 aircraft.
Regards
Dick

Re: French trainer

Too small for a Simoun.
It rather looks like a Nardi FN 305.

Hi,
Not a Simoun, Dick, but not a Nardi too, Christian-J. :)
The Nardi had no karmann streamlined wing, for instance...
Somebody says me it may be a Maillet two seats trainer.
After research, I believe he is right. It's a very rare S.F.C.A (société française de construction aéronautique) Maillet 201! :)

You may be right.
Here's a French Nardi.
