Do 17P Z5+BH

Hi,

recently I found photo of crash-landed Do 17P or F coded Z5?+BH (I`m not sure about this second letter). The photo was taken most probably in 1940. I wonder if somebody could tell me the unit using code Z5?

Hi, Robert...

Barry Rosch's book on Luftwaffe codes and markings states 'Z5' as being attributed to a Dornier Do17P from an Aufklärungsstaffel, but does not identify which one exactly. If the latter part of the code is indeed 'BH', then it would most likely have been from 1.Staffel.

Are there perhaps some obvious things like a W.Nr. or a unit emblem in evidence on the photo which might point us in a particular direction?
