Guenther Schack...

... belly landed his Fw 190 on 3-Aug-1943 after he was hit by Russian fighters covering Il-2 formation that he and his wingman attacked. Am I right that this a/c loss/damage is not reflected in Gen.Qu. loss returns?

AFAIK, in August 1943 Günther Schach was member of 8./JG 51, i.e. the 3rd Gruppe.

I have only one loss for III./JG 51 for 3 August, namely:

Fw 190A-5
W. Nr. 5942
III./JG 51
03-aug-43
Take-off accident.
Rußland
Fl.Pl. Karatschew
Bruch 30%

However, it's improbably that this covers Schach's mentioned incident.
