Ju188 Claimed 10/11-1-1944
 

W/C Hoare with F/O Muir claimed a Ju188 shot down on the approach to Chievres at 0334hrs. The combat report shows that the Junkers crashed 4 miles east of Chievres at the village of Cambron St. Vincent, and has been ticked as verified. Does anybody have any details on this incident please, I could not find a likely loss from KG2, KG6 or KG66, possibly crew survived ?

Hello Brian!
I have tried to obtain this piece of information a long time ago and up today never got a clue about which aircraft they claimed that night. I have been in touch with S/L Muir, DFC for a time. It was the 100th Hun victory of 605 Squadron isn´t it? If you do manage to find out anything, could you share it with me, please? Thanks and good luck!

I think you put this one on the Forum previously with no luck. Today I got my volume 2 of the KG6 history and thought it would answer the question but again no luck,
