David thanks ever so much for the information, most appreciated.

There was a photo on Ed's listings a few days ago, showing a photo of this a/c wearing what appears to be 5/KG55 unit codes. The rear of the fuselage showed +GN with the G outlined in white. May have previously served with the 5th staffel.

Best regs,
Steve.

Re: He 111H-6 W.Nr 7457

Hi ,

Regrettably on my answer to the question I neglected to put my usual rider to the effect 'unless anyone can advise otherwise'!

Whilst my information on this aircraft came from my Luftwaffe loss returns I would be the first to acknowledge that there could be a digit transposition error on the originals (as with many others). Checking my other documentation I would concur that production in mid-42 would make sense looking at the production groups and dates generally. So far i have not come across any other details for WNr 7457 although my database has only reached start of 1943.

Out of obvious interest JoMe could you say where your information comes from as it may help with my research generally?

Kind regards,

David
