Portoferraio bombardment 16 september 1943

On 16 september 1943 some german twin engine bombers (Ju.88?) attacked the town of Portoferraio (Elba Island) causing many casualties.

Does anyone know any details about this episode (unit, number of the aircraft, intended target, ordnance dropped ect)?
