Sturzkampfgeschwader 1 (St.G.1), I and III Group, July-Sept. 1940
 

Hello,

I search the list of losses suffered by the 1st and the 3rd Group of the St.G.1 (Stuka unit) from July to September 1940 ? Where could I find this list ? in a book ? in Bundesarchiv ?

'Battle of Britain Then And Now' by After The Battle Press should be your primary point of reference.

I don't have it to hand but I believe General a.D. Helmut Mahlke's (RKT) book has a list of losses for the Geschwader throughout the war! Even though Mahlke served with III Gruppe.

Mahlke's book was III Gruppe only for BofB

I know Mahlke was III Gruppe, however I was sure there were other Gruppen mentioned?
Perhaps got confused with other details. I remember Mahlke went on to become a Staff officer and transferred away from St.G 1 but he still mentions what happens within the unit after he left!?

Will go and dig mine out...........

No, you are entirely correct! There are not many losses registered for these units in that time period, I have 9!
