Adolf Galland: The Authorized Biography David Baker

Hello
Does anyone have the book, and may comment the contents?

Have it, don't remember if I've read it.

had it, got rid of it - wish I'd kept it. A good read as far as I recall.

I bought the book when published in 1996 and still have it. I agree that it is a good read. A theme is that much more was known than in 1953 when "The First and The Last" was first published.

On pages 228-230, there is an interesting discussion of fear and how to control it, along with pasychological tests for fighter pilots. Galland felt that pilots who cease to experience fear no longer understand what they are doing.

Overall, the book is worth reading for anyone interested in the subject.

Thanks. Does the book provide an insight into combat missions flown in the period of 1939-1941? Is it a third person narrative, or does it contain multiple quotations? What I am after is not another Galland views' book, but rather something more personal.
