RHUBARB OPERATIONS
 

Good morning to all,

I am now searching on rhubarb operations flown by RAF Fighter Command and Army Cooperation squadrons.

Here is a file concerning these. Does anyone have the file referenced
FC/S 25659/Ops dated 30th September, 1941 ?

With reference to the above subject and to the two brochures of possible targets, dated 6th October, 1941, and 14th October, 1941, respectively, distributed by this Headquarters, it isrequested that in order to avoid confusion and to conform to the code names laid down in thisHeadquarters letter FC/S 25659/Ops. Dated 30th September, 1941, the words " Fighter Sweeps "apprearing on the covers and first pages of the two brochures be deleted and the words " RhubarbOperations " be substituted.Air Ministry has been requested to use this title in any further brochures of a similar nature wichmay be issued.H.R. Spencer F/Wfor Air Marshal,Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief,FIGHTER COMMAND.Copy to Headquarters, 11 Group ( your 11G/804/6/Int. Dated 21st October, 1941, refers ).
