Bill Starke of the "Vampire Squadron" (44th FS) is selling his book!
 

Lt.Col. William Starke, a veteran of the 44th FS, is selling his book titled "Vampire Squadron" on Ebay (for US $39.95 a copy). It's a very rare title, and I was delighted to get in touch with him. He wrote to me:
"We were the leading fighter squadron in the 13th Air Force with 169 planes shot down. My book is loaded with photos. I somehow survived 121 combat missions"
Today I picked up my signed copy :)

Cotesworth B. Head, Jr. to Capt
Robert B. Westbrook, Jr. to LtCol

I am interested in US Aces and unfortunately the data and details about them are not mentioned by Frank Olynyk in his book Stars and Bars.

All data will be used for my own needs and will not be proveded to the third party and not be published.
