Spitfire NH-544

Hi ,
On 04/01/1945 Spitfire IX NH-544 from 332 squdron was hit by groundfire during a recce , the pilot Sgt Christopherson O P F was killed. It seems that the pilot bailed out south of Tilburg ( Holland ). Is this correct ?

Alain,

To check if a loss happened in the Netherlands: see nimh.nl.

They indeed have NH544 as lost near Tilburg on 5-1-1945.

Groet,

Leendert

Hi Alain
I've posted also on your rafcommands thread
It would seem to be confirmed in Vol 3 of 2nd TAF by Shores and Thomas and in Vol 3 of Fighter Command Losses by N Franks. Both publications have the name as O-P F Christopherson
