B-17 crash in Ardooie (Belgium)
On April 27th, 1944, a B-17 bomber (serial Nr 423534) was shot down and crashed near a farm in theopen at Ardooie. That's a village in Belgium, Province of West-Vlaanderen. The crew bailed out but was taken prisoner of war by the Germans.

It seems that the aircraft was hit by Flak from the airfield off Le Culot " Beauvechain " at 1939 hrs; Greetings |
