Alfred Bindseil

Hi guys

31 May 1944: Feldwebel Alfred Bindseil of 6./JG 1 shot down in Fw 190 A-8 during aerial combat with P-47 fighters, belly-landed at Störmede
20 July 1944: Oberfeldwebel Alfred Bindseil of 6./JG 1 missing in action in Fw 190 A-8 "Yellow 4" (W.Nr. 731 091) following aerial combat with Spitfire fighters, St Lô area

By the way, the 1/48 Eduard Fw 190 A-8 "Weekend Edition" scale model is packaged with decals for his Fw 190 A-8 "Yellow 11" (W.Nr. 170 393). http://www.internetmodeler.com/2008/...rd_fw190a8.php

Horrido!

There is a full-scale replica with some original parts, painted as his machine, in the Luftfahrt-Museum at Laatzen-Hannover e.V.

Hello,
I have a 'Luftzeugenkampfbericht' recorded and signed by Bindseil for a claim that Eder made for a B17 on 29th April 1944. If you wish to see it, let me know and I will email it to you.

I have also seen a photo of him. From memory, I think it is 'Defenders of the Reich - JG1 by Erik Mombeek.
Regards,
Andy
