could anybody confirm whether this particular a/c lost on 26.7.41 was crewed by the the following:

Uffz Heinz Engst ff
Ofw Artur Willimzik Bo
Uffz Hans Wachter Bf
Gefr Werner Kuhse Bm

W.Nr.2883 2/KG55 All wounded? Karanta, Eastern Front.

Hi.

No, these guys were in 2973, while 2883 had another crew according to the loss records. Will post the details later today.

Hi,

I have:

2883 G1+EK (loss list shows as P-4) Failed to return from Ostfront sortie.
Oblt Hans Hossner (pilot), Fw Hans Reiter (observer), Fw Josef Schneider (W/T operator) and Uffz Hans Benkmann (engineer) all missing.

2973 shown as 80% damaged, pilot killed.

Always open to new info!
