Flt Lt W J Fowler
 

Hi,

I have a Flt Lt W J Fowler as serving with 263 Squadron from June 1944. On 26th April 1945 he shared in the destrudtion of a ME 262.

I have searched the London Gazette and came up with a William Joseph Fowler 114263. His promotions include:

Act P/O on Prob 19/12/41
Act P/O on Prob to P/O on Prob 19/02/42
P/O on Prob to F/O on Prob 01/10/42

I can't find anything else after that.

Does anyone know if this is the same W J Fowler? And when was he promoted to Fl Lt? If this is the same Fowler when did he join 263 Squadron?
