Hello.

I need your help question for FW190 bmw801 motor numbers.
What number it is, what does it mean? Do I can identify the plane Wnr. from this number in red color?
And one more question. How km may fly burned FW190, smoke was coming from plane middle part?

Thanks.
Janis.

Hi Janis,

I believe the WNr. of the BMW 801 in question is 306746 (with the slight possibility that it is 306716). These digits are visible on the cooling fan blade. I can’t make out the red letters to which you refer, but rebuild numbers and dates were sometimes added to German aircraft engines.
