OT. The problem with that statistics is that by the time the Axis prisoners arrived in the Soviet rear area detention centres and were counted many thousands had already perished en-route.

Ah, I had another photo of the downed Ju-88 from another angle. It was a gift from a very old aviator and aeronautical engineer, along with a photo of downed Bf 109 (an F or early G , I think) that had crashed in the center of a town square. Too bad I lost the phographs when moving to a new home.
