Flak.

Richard "heavy" Brown was White flight leader on 353FS second mission of day hitting ground targets of opportunity in Belgium.

Brown and Lordi were both hit by heavy and accurate 20mm and 40mm flak at approximately 1600 ft altitude and spun into ground.
