Oblt. Wieser
Hi all
I came to the name of Oblt. Wieser who flew Bu 181 in 1945 january to mid April with II./ZG 76, I., III., II./JG 300, JG 4 all groups, JG 27 etc...It seems that for each flight he had another copilot. I assume he was some kind of inspector or requalification teacher? (dunno the correct name of the job). Can somene tell more about this man, what was his job and also the reason f those flights...? |
Re: Oblt. Wieser
A search of our notes reveals nothing about this guy. He was either killed off early or was simply too low a rank or didn't hold a command or staff position.

Re: Oblt. Wieser
I already found him at Lorants book, Josef Wieser Oblt. was a gunnery school officer...check JG 300 vol.2:)
thanks for effort.... |
Re: Oblt. Wieser
hello,
I wonder if he is not Uffz. Josef Wieser who flew in the III./JG 2 during the invasion of France in 1940. I published at least 2 photos with him in the JG 2 Chronicle Vol. 1. Unfortunately, the copies of his Flugbuch I have end on 14 Jan. 1941. Hope it helps. Erik |
Re: Oblt. Wieser
Hmmm,
I do not have any other info about his person, so it is possible...I only know that he trained pilots in 1945 at II./ZG 76, JG 300, JG 27, and JG 4... |
Re: Oblt. Wieser
I have come across a helmet that has OBLT.Wieser marked on it with WW scratched near it and under the bill it has a bugle scratched into it. I wish I could find the relative of this helm...

If that is all the information you have, then I wish you the best of luck. Although WIESER is not a very common name, there were a good several dozen Oberleutnante with that name between the Heer and the Luftwaffe. |
