Barracuda loss 7 December 1944
Hi,
Sub Lt John H Greig was a pilot with 814 Squadron, Fleet Air Arm. He was based at HMS Owl, a Royal Naval Air Station at Nairn, Scotland. On 7 December 1944 he took off for a flight but failed to return. Temp Sub Lieutenant (A) J H Greig + Temp Acting Petty Officer D Oakes + Temp Acting Leading Airman T Penny + The aircraft they were in was a Barracuda. Would anyone know the serial number of this aircraft and any possible details of the sortie they were on. Thanks, Alex |
