He-111 werknumber 701666
He-111 werknumber 701666 S3+DH from 1./Tg 30 was hit by flak during a supply mission to Calais-Boulogne on September 19 1944 and came down south off Spa Belgium. It seems that there was 1 MIA , 1 POW and 3 returned.

This question seems to have been asked before, in August 2008... Chris gave the names of pilot Fw Hans Kuehne (MIA) and BW Fw Erich Guenther (POW). No further names. Regards, Leendert |

K report for 18th Sept. gives Pilot Fw Gebauer missing, and B/m Fw Erich Gunther uninjured POW with three crewmen unaccounted for.
NVM for 18th Sept shows Ff Fw Hans Kuhne missing and Bw Fw Erich Gunther missing to POW. Now on 26th Oct 44 He111H-20 S3+DL wn 700881 was shot down and crashed south of Dunkirk the K report gives Pilot Fw Herbert Gebauer POW, Obs. Oblt Werner Beilhartz POW, Bf Uffz Helmut Richter assumed dead, A/G Uffz. Reinhold Obstoj and unknown B/M assummed dead. The report also notes that Fw Gebauer was the pilot of the Heinkel shot down near Spa on 18th Sept. when he his A/G Ogef Kitzmann and his W/T Uffz Richter made their way back to German lines, the Obs. on the flight being Fw Kuhne who was reported missing. Names on the NVM for the 26th Oct. are Ff Fw Herbert Gebauer, B Oblt Werner Beilhartz, Bw Uffz Herbert Wand, Bd Uffz Reinhold Obstof, Bf Uffz Helmuth Richter. Hope that helps, Regards Brian Bines |
