Shark mouth LAGG-3 Digital art : Any historical background ?

I just found a Digital art pic of a LAGG-3 with a shark-mouth. It is from Jerry Boucher website.

Does anyone know if it is based on solid historical reference (photos ? publications ?)

I searched the web and all my books on the LAGG-3 and I still couldnt find anything.

Is there any informations available on this plane ?
