This was news for me and I think it could be interesting for the rest of you also, as there has been a lot of writing about "sudek13" in the past.

Dear Micke,

Very interesting announcement. I can't tell if the URL given was for the sudek13 collection or not. While the message says that access to the sudek13 collection is not for financial gain, details are a bit lacking. I will be very interested to follow the progress of this venture. Anyone who uses this service, please post of your experiences here.

Regards,
Richard

Not sure if I believe "sudek13" is actually a part of that. I think is is probably BS, and someone is using his name to promote their website.

I have sold MANY photos to Sudek13. He has a team of people who he hires to bid on eBay auctions. He pays TOP dollar, and will outbid anyone. He is into investment, so why would someone who spends $20,000-$60,000 a MONTH on photos, and pay for a team of staff bid on them at the highest price, want to scan them, pay for a website, then upload them for all to see for free.

He is a business man, and that makes no business sense as he will not get any return on his investment.

He could have simply hired people to contact the sellers, explain his website, and have the sellers email hi-res scans of the photos...I mean why pay $50-$1000 for ONE photo, when you can get them for free?

sudek13 buys German, Japanese, and US planes and tanks. There are NO photos, nor even a directory for German or Japanese photos on that website. I have never seen him buy anything else, either. He buys ONLY if the vehivles have markings, or insignia, too.

I think the guy running that site is using sudek's name to promote his site.

Having tried to register I find that I am already registered....or maybe another Andy Saunders. Anyway, I tried just using A Saunders but find myself unable to register.

Anyone else have the same/similar problems?

Also, I note that this site seems to be specifically related to land warfare. Is that the case?

Yes, Sudek13 is known to one-and-all. I have sold many photos to him....and been outbid on many more!!!

One day it will be fascinating to view/access the collection.

Registration process works fine for me Andy... did you follow the "no spaces" part of the instruction?

Aaaah....!! Thank you Peter. I must be one of those people who read the instructions after things fail to work!
