was it an accident ?

In the german cemetery of Rapendoza, outside of Athens, are three airmen buried. I think they belonged to 1. Staffel / Ergänzungsgruppe St.G. 3

Ltn. Dr. Horst Müller, Ltn. Walter Pöttmann, Uffz. Friedrich Kozminsky, all (+) 24.06.43 Athens

What was the cause of their death? Was Müller the pilot? Who was the Staffel-Kpt. of them? Any other info?

thanks in advance

Byron

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for your imediate (as always) respond.
According Michael Holm,
St.G. 151 was formed 17.05.43 from Erg.Gr. St.G.3, Schlacht G. 151 firstly 18.10.43.
that means, the airmen (in April) still belonged to Erg.Gruppe/St.G. 3.

I found also the following about the same unit:

ab 27.04.43 erste Flüge von Kalamaki, zwischen 1. und 8. Juni sind Partisanenangriffe auf Kalaskopi, Pyra und Pawliani
FF. Magnus Sibbers,
BO. (?)Rieckmann, Zimmermann, Prang, Pietsch, Markus, Franke, Scheller, Smolla und Heinzelmann
Do you have more about these fellows?

regards
Byron
