German picture taken July 10 1940
 

On July 10 1940 a 111Sq Hurricane, flown by F/O Higgs, collided with a Dornier of KG.2. On this site http://users.bigpond.net.au/mantis/fw/bob/fat.htm it is claimed that there is a picture of this event, made by a German pilot. Can anyone help me find it?

Dennis,

I'm unsure whether you want help in navigating the site you mention or finding a copy of what I suspect is the rather well-known Ullstein photo used in many books over the years including Eagle Day: Collier (1966) for one.

Yes I do mean the photograph, which is apparently well known. Do you know of any recent publications that used this photograph? I will try to get hold of it then.

Dennis,

I don't know about recent publications but the full image was used in The Luftwaffe War Diaries by Cajus Bekker (1964). Hope this helps.
