XIIth Fighter Command

Hi!

Did this Command exist in August 1944 (*)?
And if yes, who was in charge?

Do you mean with "XIIth" Fighter Command the XIIth TAC, which supported the Seventh U. S. Army and the First French Army on their approach at the Southern front area ?.

I mean "XIIth Fighter Command" of the 12th Air Force like "VIIIth Fighter Command" of the 8th.
