i have adopted an grave from an American Soldier who was shot down on 4 feb 1943 the family of this men told me that he he was first in the Canadian Airfoce before he he was transferd to the USAAF in 1942 is there an way to find out in wich unit he was and if he did have fly missions on an bomber regards Ron |

his pilot was not lt Futch but Capt Ellisi met an family member last sunsday on the cemtery of Margraten he told me that Michael was before he joined the USAAF he was in the RCAF of RAF i have a photocopy where he is in an RAF uniform so i search for info when he was in the RCAF of RAF thx |

Puzzling - The Crew List shows Lt. Eugene Ellis as the Co Pilot. So far I have He trained in the RCAF as Wireless operator / Gunner. Transferred to AAF 10/42 Mike |

all mine sources says Futch was de CP and Ellis was de P i know the Lamedica flew his first mission on 30 dec 1942 on his 4th mission on 4 feb he was wounded by fighters end after the crashlanding he was brought to te hospital in Leeuwarden acoording german documents he died there on the 5th and was burried on the 9th do you know when he joint the RCAF and if he flew missions or only trained thx |
