Spitfires II or V

Could you guys let me know which Spitfires were in use in following squadrons: 92, 403, 452, 485, 602 and 603 in August 1941? I have quite few different sources. Some of them shows that Spitfire Vs were in use since August 1941 so I presume that changing process went smoothly. It wasn't just one-day transformation. Generally speaking I would like to know when exactly those squadrons started operational flying with Vs.
Thanks a lot.

Here's a list of all Spitfires. This first Spitfire V's start on page 007. Good Luck!

From Bracknell to the National Archives isn't so far and if you can spare a day to visit and sit at a microfilm reader (headache thrown in free of charge), you could check this out fairly easily. If the relevant Operations Record Books (file series AIR27) for those Squadrons are intact, then there's usually a schedule of all the aircraft flying each day. With Spits this normally gives the mark but failing that, the serial number is always there (in my experience at least) and you could cross check from those.

I wouldn't rule out a Squadron flying a mixture during the changeover, at least I've seen Squadrons in the Med with a mix of V's and IX's or VIII's and IX's.

Yes, certainly. It is not far. :o I shall be there again on Friday.
Nick, I have all ORBs of mentioned squadrons. I was just curious because of other sources I went trough. I preffer to double check - that's why I'm asking.
If you see 452 sqn (for example) - they were flying both: IIA and VB in August.
