Maj. Gilbert B24 pilot

Hello !

S/L Bill Whamond of 619 Squadron, flew on a B24 with Maj. Gilbert at Wendling on 13 March 1944.
Could you help to know what was the squadron of this B24 and who was this Maj. Gilbert ?

Alain,

Maj. Gilbert became Air Executive of 392nd BG at Wendling in Feb 44.

Alain - Just a FYI
The 392d BG attacked No Ball Targets on 3/12/44. Due to Bad Weather ,
the Group Landed at Tangmere and Flew back to Wendling 3/13/44.
