Bf 109 of III/JG 54 on 14th may 1943

I'm looking for any data on a Bf 109 of III/JG 54 that made a emergencylanding just east of Groningen city near the village Engelbert on the 14th may 1943 with the pilot unhurt. The USAAF had Emden as target for the 14th. The losslist of JG 54 has nothing on a Bf 109 near Groningen, although JG 54 lost seven of their numbers over northern Germany on the 14th, and another eight on the 15th.

Can anyone help me out?

This is a long shot, but does anybody knows about a Bf 109 from another unit that was lost over the northern parts of Holland during the 14th may 1943 as a result of combat with American fighters or bombers.

Thanks in advance

Hi, Bas

There is a rather long list of aircraft lost in this general area on this day.

Some of the locations are unknown to me, and I believe the german reports have made a spelling mess of some of the place names.

Will make a list and post tonight

Regards,

Bas -
8th AF Bombers also Attacked Antwerp 3/14/43
All 8th AF Fighter Claims were in this Vicinity
and all were FW 190s.
