Circus 93 september 4 1941

On september 4 1941 222 sqaudron flew Circus 93 to Mazingarbe ( Pas-De-Calais )
During this operation Sgt Sharples AO flying Spitfire AB-801 and Sgt Rudd WB flying W-3424 became POW. Does someone knows were the aircraft came down ?

Sorry, don't know the answer, but Sgt Rudd was flying W3124, not W3424.

Thanks , seems that the crash area was St-Omer France.

My unofficial 222 Sqn diary says what happens but not where it happened to the 2 pilots

Sgt Rudd's Spitfire must have come down near the coast as photos show his force landed aircraft on a sandy area.
