Hello Dave,

I've filed this one in my database, however I can little add to what Tomislav already provided. It might have belonged to either 1. or 3./JG1.
Flugplatz Bergen is also known as Flugplatz Bergen am See or in English sources as Airfield Bergen/Alkmaar. It's located some 30 km NW of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

What's your particular interest in this Bf.109?

Thanks Gentlemen. The number was found on a badly damaged wreck bought out of Russia around 10 years ago, although I haven't yet found out where it was discovered, on the wings or the remains of the airframe.
