Hurricane P3144 GZ-B
 

Hi there,

I have just joined this forum and am hoping to get some help off you, very knowledgeable, guys. I am seeking further info on the subject Hurricane and the Bf 109E which reportedly shot it down on 19 July 1940 at 16.25 over Dover. I have some info but it's a bit sketchy. Apparently the Bf 109E came from JG51 flown by Uffz. Leander Mayer and the 32 Sqn Hurricane was being flown by F/Sgt Guy Turner. I believe that the Hurricane crashed at Hougham. The Hurricane is the subject of a 1/48 scale Airfix Kit I recently purchased. I also have a 1/48 Bf 109E by Hasegawa and my intention is to recreate both aircraft as they were at the time. Any help you could give or direction to resources that would help would be greatly appreciated.
