Steinhoff's arrival in the JG 52
 

According to Jochen Prien and other gentlemen, Mäcki Steinhoff was the Kapitän of the 11.(N)/JG 2 in May 1940. But Ernst Obermeier or Bernd Barbas claim that Steinhoff replaced Heinz Schumann at the head of the 4./JG 52 in February 1940. Steinhoff himself confirmed in an interview that he joined the JG 52 in February 1940. Who's right, and who's wrong?

01.09.39 appt Staka 10.(N)/JG 26(to 31.12.39?).
01.02.40 (or 08.40?) Oblt., in 10.(N)/JG 2, appt Staka 4./JG 52 (to 28.02.42).
10.05.40 Oblt., Staka 11.(NJ)/JG 72.

Heinz Schuman :
1939 Staka 11.(NJ)/JG 71.
15.07.39 Oblt., temporary duty assignment I./JG 51 to 1./JG 71 and appt Staka.
01.09.39 trf to II./JG 52 and appt Staka 4./JG 52 (to 31.01.40).
