P/O Blackmore, 22Sq, June 13 1941
Who knows more?
On June 13 1941, Beaufort W6522 ended up in the Nort Sea. P/O Blackmore washed up on the Dutch coast. Who were the rest of the crew and what happened to them? Why did it crashe into the sea? What was the unit code and aircraftletter Any info would be apriciated Dennis |

From RAF Coastal Command Losses, Vol 1 13/6/41 22 Sqn Beaufort I W6522 OA-K Op: Rotterdam, RAF North Coates, Time Up: 00:44 hrs P/O J O H Willing, + P/O R L Blackmore RCAF, + Sgt J Parsons, + Sgt H K Orme, + Took off tasked with attacking the E-boat base at Rotterdam. The Beaufort was shot down into the North Sea off the Hoek van Holland by flak. P/O Willing rests in Sage War Cemetery, P/O Blackmore and Sgt Parsons are buried locally in Noordwijk General Cemetery, Holland while Sgt Orme was washed ashore on the beach at Hjerting on the 18th of August and is buried in Fourfelt Cemetery, Esbjerg, Denmark.
