Help for Identification Type of Aircraft
 

Dear Friends of this Forum,

since 3 years I try to identify the type of aircraft which crashed north of Augsburg Germany.
Based on eye witnesses 2 nightfighter had a mid air collision at daylight during a training flight. In both planes there were 2 flyers. 3 of the 4 survives because bailed out. One pilot was KIA.
Date of crash is not clear but between March 44 and April 45.
I found relics of 2 different Revi's (16 B and 12...)
In addition I found little parts showing the Focke Wulf Company logo (Please see attachment)
Based on one attachment described as "Bennenung der Leitungen" I think it was a 2-engine plane.
Who can help?

the only thing i can see is 3115 thats material number, anyway its 100% german,
can you take better close up?
its possible that part number is covered up for a part by the axe were its connected to the other part. and its only on those first 2 or 3 digits you can know the kind of plane
first intention it looks junkers....

bennung der leitung are the colors used to recognize the pipes for what they are used on the hydrolic,fuel,etc pipes are several colors painted every xxxxcm to indicate to what system it belongs.

I can't read rhe number on the pic....
Please write the n° clear ...
For exemple, i joint in attachment one similar mark on one part from one Do 217 N-1.

thanks for your reply with the pic you attached.
I checked the number and I can find numbers on both sides.
With reading both sides I can confirm the number you posted.
It is exactly the same number.

7476 3115.4

Do you think it is a part of a Do? Or is this a number of a standard producer of aircraft parts?

In addition I would ilke to tell that we found parts of a KG control grip as they used in Me 110 or FW 190

Hi, i think it's Dornier normen of a standard producer of aircraft parts,
German says Don normen, like Din fot other parts ...

761/1 is certainly the family for the parts in Don normen (steuerwerk)
I found other differents parts from family Do N 761 & 761/1
( but without number) in Dornier 17 ersatzteilliste.

Your nummer 7476 not the same as my 7475,

My plane is sure a Do 217 N-1,
i have chance to can read the type number R8-217 othe part attached to my 761/1 part .

but i have not the ersatzteiliste for my aircraft type.
(for see if Do217 N-1 have too one part 7476 )

Perhaps your part is for one other aircraft type, not easy ...

I not found parts from Do N normen in 2 different ersatzteilliste from Fw 190.

I'have no ersatzteiliste for Bf 110 type for verify ...

Sure 3115.4 is metal fabrication type (German normen)

That's all i have for moment ...
