Hptm Helmut Schuke
 

Hello,

I am looking for information about Hptm Helmut Schuke who was killed in action over the Bay of Biscay on 11 April 1943.

I know he was born on 17 October 1913 at Schöpfürth and was trained as a reconnaissance pilot in the Luftwaffe. He took over command of 3.(F)/123 from Hptm Siegfried Kirch, possibly on 22 March 1943, before being shot down by a No 248 Sqdn Beaufighter in April.

I am more particularly interested in his career before his 3.(F)/123 command period.
