Hello,
Are known the Pre-production He111B-0 WNr's? What they were?
Who could recommend me the best book dealing with the He-111 variants in detail, specially the early ones; batches and WNr. blocks? Thank you

Hi,

I would suggest that a good starting place would be Manfred Griehl's 'Heinkel He111 : kampfflugzeug, Torpedobomber, Transporter'. Also have a look at Heinz Nowarra's 'Heinkel He111 - A documentary history'.

These ones come from the losses of school-units, not all is very accurate in these returns , but we could think that between 1000 nd 1500 are scattered the ones you are seeking, maybe a bit under 1000 also

I think there was only seven pre-production B-0 and wanted to know what range of WNr. they were.

Dr. Volker Koos in book "Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugwerke 1933-1945" on page 52 speaks only about single A-0 (Wnr.1438) with BMW VI motors and 6 B-0 (Wnr.1432-1437) with DB 600 motors.

According that book, when exactly started the production of B-1's? in 1937 or earlier in 1936?

According to Griehl Heinkel produced 6 B-0 aircraft carrying the Wnr. range 1431-1437. Production started in sommer 1936.
