Re: JG26 7.Feb. 1945

According to my loss lists W.Nr. 210105 was a 7./JG 26 aircraft. It was destroyed on 7 February 1945 in a crash (cause unknown) after take-off; the pilot, Obgefr. Günther Böke, was killed in the accident.

The rest of the information is, however, conflicting: the aircraft is variously recorded as "Brown 1" and "Brown 7", while the site of the crash is also given as Düsseldorf airfield, i.e. Böke may have crashed during the transfer of W.Nr. 210105 to Nordhorn airfield. A further element of confusion is the fact that on the same day another II./JG 26 D-9, W.Nr. 210103, was reported lost at Düsseldorf, but all further information is lacking.

Remi - could you please indicate the source of your information?

Best regards,

Marc

Hi Guys

Caldwell in his JG 26 diary vol 2 says the Wnr for 1.3.1945 loss was 211003 (note scrambled digits vs 210103). He also list another one, 211009 as lost the same day....

Can we state 100% if Caldwell is wrong and you correct?

Cheers

Re: JG26 7.Feb. 1945

My mistake 211003 was lost on 1.march not 210003, so remains the question where come from the 210003 Keizer C ??

OK Remi

No problems. So I can only echo Remi's wish. What is the source Keizer, for the loss of 210103 at Düsseldorf on 7 Feb 1945?

Cheers
Stig
