Source of mission info
 

Gentlemen,

I am looking for detailed information on a single 1st BD mission. Specifically I'd like to know rendezvous times, the order of groups in the bomber stream, rendezvous with escorts, and maybe after action report/analysis/critique from the divisional level. Do such records exist and if so, what should I be asking for? I've got mission reports from the individual bomb groups, but they don't provide this type of info.

I assume this is US8th airforce.

Records of Mission in National Archives Washington.

I have ones for 44bg 1944 ,there is folder for each mission Maps,and combat reports and all tech info,bomb loads, fuel aircraft position in wing and group positions. You might even be lucky andget pictures of target before and after raid

Hi:
I, too, have some 8th AF Mission Reports. Mine cover all three Bomb. Divisions around Big Week (Feb 20th - 25th Feb '44), but include some missions before, and after those dates. PM me if interested......
